The Arts & Business Council of Chicago serves as a catalyst in the community, sparking vital partnerships between business and the arts that strengthen the business side of the arts, and facilitate creativity, leadership and civic involvement in the business community. In this way, A&BC-Chicago seeks to ensure the long-term economic and cultural vitality of metropolitan Chicago.
A&BC-Chicago works closely with area businesses to facilitate direct employee participation in the arts through two unique programs:
Business Volunteers for the Arts® -- a training and placement program for business professionals interested in serving as pro bono management consultants for non-profit arts groups.
On BOARD® -- a board training and placement program for business executives interested in serving on non-profit arts boards in metro Chicago.
Through these programs, businesses are able to make a profound impact in the community, while simultaneously developing their emerging leaders, expanding their networks, and raising their profile in Chicago.
In addition, the Arts & Business Council convenes public
Arts & Business Forums featuring prominent thought-leaders to kindle the intersection between business and the arts.
